Phyllis called Empire State Plumbing because her heat was not working. After inspection, our technician determined that her gas control valve had failed. He gave her up front pricing and approved the work to be done immediately.  Our technician was able to locate a new gas valve for her furnace the same day and make the necessary repairs.  Her furnace started right up with no issues, and she was happy to have her heat back working again.

Bob contacted Empire State Plumbing regarding a leaking hot water tank. Our technician promptly arrived and assessed the situation. After confirming that the old unit had failed, we provided Bob with an upfront price for the replacement, which he approved before we began the work. The old water heater was efficiently removed, and a new unit was installed the same day, restoring hot water service and ensuring Bob’s home comfort.

Nick called Empire State Plumbing for routine maintenance on his oil-fired boiler. Nick mentioned that he typically gets it serviced every year, and other companies spend about 15 minutes on the cleaning.  A factory recommended servicing takes at least one hour to complete and includes a combustion analysis and a thorough cleaning of the heat exchanger. As you can see in the before picture, the heat exchanger is completely covered in soot. When your heat exchanger is covered in soot, your unit cannot exchange the heat well causing your unit to run inefficiently. Now Nicks' boiler is running at top efficiency and will use less oil, saving him money.

John called Empire State Plumbing because he noticed his water heater was leaking.  Upon arrival our technician noticed water leaking around the entire base of the water heater. This particular water heater is only seven years old however the unit was never flushed and upon further investigation the water was extremely acidic. This most likely caused the water heaters early demise. It is very important to flush your water heater on an annual basis and check your pH levels.  He approved our estimate on the spot, and we proceeded with the install.
