William called Empire State Plumbing because he was having problems with his old cast-iron waste system. After inspection, our technician recommended replacing his entire waste line in basement. William agreed with our up front pricing and allowed us to move forward with the work. Our technician removed all the cast-iron and galvanized piping in his basement and replaced it with new PVC.
Henry called us about a broken water heater. During the inspection we found that the water heater was over 10 years old and had no downspout on the temperature and pressure safety relief valve and had never been maintained. Rather than wasting money on repairing a water heater that was reaching the end of its lifespan, Henry opted to replace his 50-gallon electric water heater which we took care off on the spot.
Karen called Empire State Plumbing because she was having an issue with her toilet. After further diagnostics, our technician discovered that the chain connected to the old 3-inch flapper was broken, rendering the toilet unusable. She approved our up front pricing, and we promptly removed the old flapper and installed a new universal 3-inch flapper, restoring the toilet's functionality on the same day.
Kari, one of our annual service agreement customers, called Empire State Plumbing to schedule her annual servicing on her oil-fired furnace. When our technician arrived, he saw black soot and white carbon buildup that clogged the heat exchanger. This caused the furnace to run inefficiently, costing Kari a lot of extra money in fuel. After a thorough cleaning and fine tuning, the furnace is now running at peak performance which increased efficiency by 3%.
Ryan called Empire State Plumbing because his shower was leaking from the pipes. After a thorough inspection, our technician found that the shower faucet and drain kit was in need of replacement. After Ryan approved our pricing, we made the necessary repairs using the existing openings in the ceramic tile, and his issue was resolved.
