The homeowner reached out to Empire State Plumbing to request her annual gas boiler servicing. It was fortunate that she did so, as a rodent had built a nest on top of her boiler causing a fire Hassard. Following the completion of routine boiler maintenance, her boiler was operational and more efficient within hours.
Removed and replaced leaking 50-gal Power Vent Ng water heater, removed and replaced broken 3/4” ball valve
Ms. Dani contacted Empire State Plumbing to report that her boiler was not igniting. Upon arrival, the technician discovered a non-functional damper and rotted holes in the vent pipe. Further inspection revealed a deceased pigeon lodged in the vent damper which would have resulted in cabon monoxide leaking into the basement had there not been proper safety's installed on the boiler. The technician promptly replaced the vent damper and flue pipe, restoring the heating system to working order the same day.
Kate called Empire State Plumbing because her water heater was leaking from the bottom. After inspection, the technician found that her tank was old and in poor condition. The tank had visible splitting and leaking from base of unit and was very close to bursting and flooding her basement. Luckly, we had one on hand and the manpower to remove and install her a brand-new water heater the same day.
Jean called us because he had no heat in his upstairs tenant's apartment. When we arrived, we thoroughly examined the unit and discovered that the pressure relief valve was leaking, which caused the system to lose water pressure. They automatic water fill valve also failed and was not allowing make-up water back into the system. This resulted in a low-pressure situation which wouldn't allow the system to circulate hot water. We replaced the faulty parts and tested the system for proper operation. Jean and his tenants were very happy to have this repaired immediately.
