Privacy Policy
Last updated September 27, 2026
Empire State Plumbing (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or contact us for plumbing, heating, cooling, and drain & sewer service, how we use that information, and the choices you have. Your service-contact and advertising-measurement choices are described below.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide for service, website usage data, and any optional advertising choices you make. This includes:
- Contact details you give us, such as your name, phone number, email address, and service address when you call, book online, or submit a form.
- Service details you share about the work you need, such as the type of system, the problem you are experiencing, and scheduling preferences.
- Website usage data collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site, gathered through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Schedule, dispatch, and complete the plumbing, heating, cooling, or drain & sewer service you request.
- Contact you about appointments, estimates, invoices, and follow-up.
- Respond to questions, requests, and reviews.
- Improve our website, services, and customer experience.
- Send service reminders or offers, where you have asked to receive them.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed to run our business — for example, with the technicians and office staff who handle your job; with trusted service providers who support our scheduling, payment, and website operations; with financing partners such as Acorn Finance when you apply for financing; and with the advertising and analytics providers described below (including Google) who help us measure and improve the performance of our website and ads. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others. Our use of advertising and analytics services may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under some U.S. state privacy laws; you can opt out at any time as described under “Your privacy rights” below.
Text messages (SMS)
If you opt in to receive text messages from us — for example, when you book service or submit a form — we use your mobile phone number to send appointment confirmations, scheduling updates, and messages about service you requested. Your text-messaging opt-in is used for service messages and is not permission for advertising audiences. We do not share your mobile phone number or your text-messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Any optional customer-audience permission is requested separately. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP or get help by replying HELP. Full texting terms are in our Terms of Service.
Advertising, analytics, and measurement
We use third-party services to understand how our website and advertising perform so we can improve them and reach people who may need our services:
- Google Analytics and Google Ads — to measure website traffic, understand which ads and pages lead to customer inquiries, and show our ads to relevant audiences. Google may set cookies and collect information such as your device, usage, and how you reached our site.
- CallRail — call-tracking technology that helps us understand which marketing sources drive phone calls.
Some of these services use cookies and similar identifiers. When you first visit our site you can accept or decline non-essential (advertising and analytics) cookies through our consent banner, and you can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in our website footer. You can also set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
Advertising measurement
When you contact us or book service with us, your contact details (such as your email address, phone number, name, and address, as applicable) may be converted to a coded (hashed) form and sent to Google, along with ad-click identifiers, so we can measure which of our ads lead to customers. Google’s use of this information is governed by Google’s own policies.
Hashing turns your details into a fixed code before they are sent. It is not encryption, and it does not make the information anonymous: Google can match the code to details it already has, such as the email address or phone number on a Google account. We treat hashed details as personal information.
Calls. When you call us from our website or one of our ads, call-tracking technology records which ad or web page led to the call. We may share your phone number and information about your call with Google to measure advertising performance and attribution.
Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes, as described under “Text messages (SMS)” above.
You can opt out at any time. See Your Privacy Choices below.
Your privacy rights (California and other U.S. states)
Depending on where you live — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia — you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for targeted advertising.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of the advertising and analytics services described above may involve “sharing” personal information (such as online identifiers and hashed contact details) for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time by using the “Your Privacy Choices” link in our website footer; by declining advertising cookies in our consent banner or with the “Cookie Settings” link; or by contacting us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Your Privacy Choices
You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information at any time, including the sharing of your contact details for advertising measurement:
- By phone: call us at (518) 482-4205 and ask to opt out.
- By mail: write to Empire State Plumbing, 3725 US-20, Nassau, NY 12123.
- Cookies on this device: use the “Cookie Settings” link in our website footer to decline advertising and analytics cookies.
We honor opt-out requests. Once we have processed your request, we stop sharing your contact details with Google for advertising measurement. We may still report to Google, without your contact details, that a click on one of our ads led to an inquiry.
We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to stop sharing your contact details; the same exception for ad-click reporting applies.
Data security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. We keep your information only as long as needed to provide service, meet our legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes.
Your choices
You may ask us to review, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of marketing messages at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Please review it periodically for changes.
