Stop the dry-winter air that cracks woodwork and irritates skin — whole-home humidifiers sized, installed, and serviced by licensed Capital Region pros since 2006.

Do any of these sound familiar?
Most problems give you warning signs — catch one early and you often avoid a bigger repair.
Zapping doorknobs and itchy, cracked skin all winter mean your indoor air is far too dry.
Gaps in hardwood and splitting woodwork show humidity has dropped below a safe level.
Dry sinuses and a stuffy nose every heating season point to air that needs moisture added back.

How we do it
From your first call to the final cleanup, here’s exactly how we work — no surprises and no upsells.
We check your square footage, ductwork, and water line to pick the right unit.
Need it fixed today? We hold same-day slots for urgent repairs across the Capital Region.
We size a bypass, fan-powered, or steam unit to your home and HVAC system.
We tie it into your system, dial in the humidistat, and confirm balanced humidity.
Licensed Empire State Plumbing tech diagnosing a system on-siteOur work, done right
Every whole-home humidifier job starts with a look at your square footage, ductwork, and water supply so we recommend the right type — a bypass unit for steady comfort, a fan-powered unit for larger homes, or a steam unit for maximum output. We mount it on your supply or return duct, run the water and drain lines, wire in the humidistat, and balance the output so winter air stays comfortable without fogging your windows. We also service and re-pad existing humidifiers that have quit putting out moisture.

How to decide
If your current humidifier has a clogged pad, a stuck valve, or a humidistat that no longer reads right, a service and pad swap often brings it back. When a unit is undersized for your home, leaking onto the furnace, or too old for parts, we’ll explain what we’re seeing and walk through whether a repair or a right-sized replacement is the smarter long-term spend.
Straight talk on price
Whole-home humidifier work is flat-rate and quoted up front after we assess your home — never by the hour, with no surprise add-ons. Estimates are free, and financing through Acorn Finance is available on new installs so you can spread the cost over time.
Local know-how
Capital Region winters are brutally dry — months of furnace heat in Albany, Troy, Schenectady, and Saratoga can pull indoor humidity into the teens, which is hard on sinuses, hardwood floors, and old-house trim. A whole-home humidifier tied into your heating system holds a steady, comfortable level all season, whether you’re in a century-old Troy rowhouse or a newer build out in Clifton Park, Colonie, or Delmar.

Good to know
The things Capital Region homeowners ask us most about repair, replacement and cost.
We quote flat-rate after assessing your home — free estimate, no surprises, financing available.
Yes — we tie it into your existing HVAC ductwork and water line so the whole house benefits.
We typically set the humidistat to 30–45% — enough to add comfort without condensation on windows.
Plan on replacing the water panel (the evaporator pad) once a year, ideally right before heating season starts. Our hard Capital Region water leaves mineral scale that clogs the pad faster, so at that same visit we also clean the solenoid valve and check the humidistat calibration so the unit is ready when your furnace kicks on.
Not when it’s sized and set up correctly. The unit only adds moisture while your furnace is actually running heat, and a properly calibrated humidistat keeps the level low enough that condensation can’t form on windows or inside walls. We set your target based on your home and the outdoor temperature so the air stays comfortable without leaving moisture where it shouldn’t be.
