Safe, code-compliant gas line repair for leaks, corroded pipe, and failed connections — licensed, insured Capital Region plumbers since 2006.

Do any of these sound familiar?
Most problems give you warning signs — catch one early and you often avoid a bigger repair.
That odor is the warning agent added to natural gas — it means a line is leaking and needs a shutoff and repair now.
A hiss at a fitting, valve, or meter points to escaping gas at a loose or cracked connection.
Weak flames or appliances that won't stay lit often trace back to a pressure drop or partial blockage in the line.

Licensed Empire State Plumbing tech diagnosing a system on-siteOur work, done right
Every gas line repair starts with locating the fault and confirming it with a pressure test — we don’t repair blind. We replace corroded black-iron and galvanized sections, reseal failed joints, swap cracked valves and fittings, and re-pipe runs to furnaces, water heaters, ranges, dryers, and fireplaces. Every repair is made to code, pressure-tested, and verified before we restore service.

How to decide
A single bad fitting or a short corroded section is usually a straightforward repair. But if your line shows corrosion in multiple spots, sits at the end of its service life, or can’t hold a pressure test, a spot fix only buys time. We’ll show you what we find and walk through whether a targeted repair or a full line replacement is the safer long-term spend.
Straight talk on price
Gas line repair is flat-rate and quoted up front after we locate and test the fault — never by the hour. Estimates are free, and financing through Acorn Finance is available on larger re-pipes and line replacements.
Local know-how
Capital Region homes — especially older properties in Albany, Troy, Schenectady, and Cohoes — still run aging black-iron and galvanized gas lines that corrode at the threads. We also work the gas, oil, and propane mix common across Colonie, Clifton Park, Delmar, and the outlying towns, so we know the local code and inspection process and bring the right fittings for the region’s older piping.

Good to know
The things Capital Region homeowners ask us most about repair, replacement and cost.
Leave the home, don’t flip switches or light flames, and call your gas utility from outside. Once it’s safe, call us to locate and repair the line.
Yes — Mon–Fri 7:30 AM–6:00 PM we prioritize same-day gas line repairs across the Capital Region.
Yes — we’re licensed (City of Albany #PLBG21-147), insured, and pull permits and pressure-test so repairs pass inspection.
Watch for a hissing or whistling sound near a line or appliance, pilot lights that keep going out, an unexplained jump in your gas bill, or a patch of dead grass over a buried line in your yard. Any of those means you should shut off the gas at the meter and have us test the line, since older black iron and steel gas piping common in Capital Region homes can corrode and leak over time.
In National Grid territory across Albany, Troy, and Schenectady, the utility owns and maintains the service line up to and including your meter. Everything past the meter, the lines running to your furnace, water heater, stove, dryer, or an outdoor grill or generator, belongs to you, and those are exactly the lines we repair.
