Delmar · Same-Day Service · Booking Now
Local, licensed heating work for Delmar and the Town of Bethlehem with same-day service Monday through Friday — high-efficiency gas, oil, and propane furnaces and boilers from a Capital Region team that has been doing this since 2006.
Local heating, done right
Delmar’s housing stock is split two ways, and your heating system tells you which side of that line your home sits on. National Grid delivers natural gas across most of the Town of Bethlehem, so much of Delmar heats with gas — the forced-air furnaces and hot-water boilers in the subdivision belt that filled in from the 1970s onward, where the median build date lands around 1984. That equipment is now on its first or second replacement cycle, which is exactly when an aging furnace or boiler starts short-cycling, running up your gas bill, or quitting on the coldest night of the year.
Our core work in Delmar is high-efficiency gas furnace and boiler replacement, sized to the house instead of the old unit. The other side of the split is the older core — roughly one in seven Bethlehem homes was built before 1940, concentrated in the Delmar village center, the Slingerlands Historic District, and Elsmere. Those pre-war homes commonly run on hot-water boilers, and we handle boiler replacement, circulator and zone work, and condensing-boiler upgrades that heat an older house evenly without overshooting.
Not every Delmar home is on the gas main. A smaller share still heats with oil, and some rural parcels on the outer South Bethlehem, Selkirk, and Glenmont fringe run propane off the grid. Where a National Grid gas main already runs to your street, we convert those homes to a high-efficiency gas furnace or boiler and pull the old oil tank. Where there is no main to tie into, we install modern high-efficiency oil and propane equipment instead — the right call for the home you actually have.

Replaced a tired 1980s-era gas furnace in a forced-air colonial in the Delmar subdivision belt — the homeowner had uneven heat upstairs and a climbing winter gas bill. We swapped in a right-sized high-efficiency condensing gas furnace, re-routed the condensate drain so it would not freeze on the sub-zero January mornings, and matched it to the existing ductwork.

Converted a pre-war home near the Delmar village center from oil to gas after confirming a National Grid main ran to the street. We installed a high-efficiency gas boiler, tied in the existing hot-water heating zones, and removed the old basement oil tank so the homeowner stopped scheduling oil deliveries.

Installed a high-efficiency propane boiler for a rural parcel on the South Bethlehem fringe that sits off the gas grid with no main available. With nothing to convert to, the right move was modern, efficient propane equipment sized to the home — not a conversion that could not happen.

A homeowner in the Elsmere neighborhood off Delaware Avenue called in mid-January with good heat downstairs but cold radiators on the second floor. We traced it to a seized zone valve on the upstairs hot-water loop, replaced the valve and actuator, and purged the air out of both loops so the upstairs came back up to temperature. The boiler itself was fine — one zone simply could not open, so there was no reason to touch the rest of the system.
From a quick repair to a full replacement, book online or call. We answer Monday through Friday and dispatch same-day across Delmar.

Good to know
If a National Grid gas main already runs to your street, converting to a high-efficiency gas furnace or boiler usually lowers your fuel cost and lets us remove the on-site oil tank. National Grid delivers gas across most of the Town of Bethlehem, so a main is in the street for much of developed Delmar — but it comes down to your exact address, and rural parcels toward South Bethlehem and Selkirk may have none. We confirm gas availability for your property before recommending a conversion. If there is no main to tie into, the better call is a high-efficiency oil or propane unit instead.
Yes. A lot of the pre-war homes in the Delmar village center, the Slingerlands Historic District, and Elsmere run on hot-water boilers, and that is everyday work for us. We handle high-efficiency gas and oil boiler replacement, circulator and zone-valve repairs, and condensing-boiler upgrades. We size the new boiler to the house so your older home heats evenly through Delmar’s December-to-February cold without overshooting.
We are a local Capital Region team and we prioritize same-day heating calls Monday through Friday, which matters most in Delmar’s deep-winter stretch when January lows sit around 15°F and a furnace or boiler can fail on the coldest night. Our hours are weekdays, 7:30 to 6 — so if your heat goes out during the week, call us at (518) 482-4205 and we will get to you the same day whenever we can. Financing is available through Acorn Finance if a replacement is the answer.
Once a year is the right target, ideally in early fall before the first real cold snap so anything worn gets caught before you actually need the heat. A yearly cleaning and safety check keeps a gas system running efficiently and flags things like a weak igniter, a dirty flame sensor, or a cracked heat exchanger before they leave you cold in January. If your system is older or you’ve skipped a few seasons, that first visit is the one that matters most.
Yes — the Town of Bethlehem requires a permit for heating equipment replacements, and we pull it as part of the job so you don’t have to deal with the paperwork. Doing it by the book means the new unit gets inspected and there’s a record it was installed correctly, which matters if you ever sell the house. We handle the permit, the install, and the inspection sign-off together.
Across the area
We also handle heating replacements and oil-to-gas conversions for nearby Town of Bethlehem hamlets and Capital Region towns — including Slingerlands, Glenmont, and Selkirk.
